Glen-Ed Sports Association Donates $440,000 to partner with the City of Edwardsville.
The Glen-Ed Sports Association donated $440,000 to fund a third turf field at the Plummer Family Park in Edwardsville.
“After the Plummer Family Park was approved in March, Mark Rimkus, president of Glen-Ed Sports Association approached Mayor Patton and his team to build a third turf field at the park. Glen-Ed and the City of Edwardsville formed a partnership. Through, Glen-Ed created an opportunity for the community to have access to more high quality multi-purpose fields while the city created the Home of Glen-Ed Sports Association activities.” said Chuck Hentz
The donation is sourced by cash resources from Glen-Ed and a partnership with Scott Credit Union to fund $320,000.
The facility will allow the club to training on premium fields and offer more league games for Missouri, Southern and Central Illinois.
