The Glen-Ed Soccer Charitable 501.c.3 Organization and the Glen-Ed Soccer Association cordially invites you to attend the 12th annual Glen-Ed Spring Kick-Off Tournament. The dates are April 6th-7th (local teams may have the option to play on April 4-5) in Edwardsville, IL. Through our federally approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all tournament proceeds benefit local education and sports programs.
The Spring Kick-off is held on a traditionally off or very light league weekend for most of the 1,000+ St. Louis-based club teams. We will have Gold, Silver and Bronze divisions in all age groups where team entries warrant their creation. Our tournament has enjoyed a strong following from local teams which in turn, has attracted many out-of-town teams seeking diverse competition. During the past 5 years, teams have traveled from 7 different states to play in the Spring Kick-off. We go to great lengths to ensure teams get to compete against other teams of similar ability.
Do you coach more than one team?… because all of our fields are in close proximity, accommodating coaches that have 2 teams entered is something we can do much better than most multi-site events.
The tournament is a 3-game guaranteed event and is open to boys and girls U7-U15 and high school boys only U16-U19. All USYSA, US Club, USSSA and AYSO-affiliated teams are welcome.

We unveiled our newest facility in 2020…
Glen-Ed East
This facility is located within the City of Edwardsville’s Plummer Family Park. Click HERE to see park details. Initially, we have 7 lighted artificial turf fields (3 full-size soccer fields that are also lined for smaller-sided games and four 7v7 fields in the outfields of the four baseball fields). Combined with our existing facilities, we are even more prepared to offer a very memorable event on the field and off.

The Glen-Ed West Complex and the SIUE Rec Fields are both located in the Southern Illinois University (SIUE) campus and are about 1/2 mile from each other. SIUE Korte Stadium is adjacent to the Glen-Ed West Complex and the EHS field is 3 miles away from the SIUE campus fields. Our newest facility, Glen-Ed East is 4 miles further east from the EHS field and 7 miles (14 minute-drive) from our Glen-Ed West facility. We have 15 lighted fields that allow games to be played on Thursday and Friday night as well as provide us with contingency plans for weekend night games if we encounter weather delays during the tournament.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
We are a “Stay to Play” tournament and a condition of acceptance requires every “out of town” team (defined as over 2 hours away) to book their hotel rooms using our hotel service reservations partner. Glen-Ed utilizes GCI Team Travel to secure hotel rooms for our tournament. GCI works closely with the hotels in our area to secure the best rates possible. Partner hotels are selected based on their ability to provide the type of services, amenities and prices needed for youth soccer teams.
